Next Monday, 4^th December, an expert from the German American Chamber of Commerce in New York in cooperation with the WiSo-Career-Service is visiting the WiSo Faculty to give a talk about the German-American J1 exchange visitor programme. If you are interested in doing a practical training in the United States, still looking for a host company or want to ask individual questions, you are very welcome. Now is your chance to gather all the information you need.

From now on the ZIB WiSo Freemover advising hours will be on Tuesdays and Thursday between 02:00 – 03:00 pm.

Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic) once again offers their internationally acknowledged programme "Spring University Prague 2018: Understanding Europe in an Age of Uncertainty”. Students will be provided with a broad understanding of the most significant recent political and social issues in contemporary Europe. The programme takes place from 8 – 19 April 2018.

The first application round ends 17 December 2017.

Successful MA Political Sciences participants can transfer credits towards their degree in Cologne (Core and Advanced Category I or II). For details please contact the ZIB WiSo (jutta.reuschuni-koeln.de).

Newcastle University has 2 work placement opportunities available in its international divisions (1 x International Office; 1 x International Student Mobility and Integration). Both internships last for 6 months.

The internships would be of particular use to those students who intend to seek a career in the following areas; Higher Education Administration/Student Support; Marketing and Recruitment; Event Organisation and Management; International Marketing and Business.
Free en-suite accommodation will be provided in one of the University’s Halls’ of Residence. Financial support may be granted through the ERASMUS+ program.

Internship opportunity offered by Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain. Universidad Autónoma de Madrid has a work placement opportunity available in its Department of Economic Analysis: Economic Theory and Economic History. Interns will participate in several teaching and research projects in the field of economic history.

The internship should be started ASAP (excluded July and August) and last between three and six months.

The internship requires an ERASMUS grant which can be applied for at the ZIB WiSo.
Please note that English and Spanish language skills (level B2) are required.

ROCK YOUR LIFE! Köln e.V. is part of a student initiative throughout Germany which aims to set up mentoring relationships between unprivileged pupils and students from university. In this context the purpose is to detect the personal skills and potentials of the pupils and to point out career opportunities in cooperation with companies. Thus, mentors become direct contact persons for their respective mentee and they form their mentoring relationship individually.
