Dear students,

In diesem Seminar bekommen Sie Einblicke in die dos and don'ts bei Bewerbungen. Einen speziellen Fokus werden wir auf Bewerbungen bei NGO's und Sozialunternehmen legen - dies ist aber auch auf andere Unternehmen übertragbar. Anhand der Bildungsorganisation Teach First Deutschland werden Sie lernen, worauf es bei Lebensläufen, Onlinebewerbungen und (leitfadenbasierten) Interviews ankommt. Zudem gibt es die Möglichkeit Lebensläufe vor Ort zu besprechen und an den sozialen Sektor anzupassen.

Freemover advising hours in spring 2018

From now on the ZIB WiSo Freemover advising hours will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 01:00 – 02:00 pm. 

Please feel welcome to simply drop in, you do not need an appointment. Our student assistants Julia Heidinger and Vanessa Heide will answer all of your questions concerning a Freemover semester abroad. If you cannot visit during our office hours you can also contact us by e-mail: wiso-freemover(at)uni-koeln.de

Dear students,

the department 93 for International Mobility would like to invite you to our information events on studying and researching abroad. You can get information on various topics in this field and on financing issues.

Student captains job offer from Highered EFMD Global Career Services

Highered is a joint venture between EFMD and Higher Ed AS, based in Oslo, Norway. Highered is an EdTech initiative started by people with extensive experience and proven track-records from the international recruitment industry and a long standing relationship with EFMD. The Highered platform launched February 2017. 

We empower our team to ensure quality and development in their work and to be accountable and self-driven to achieve the tasks at hand. And now, we are looking for Student Captains in each campus. 

Your task will be to develop marketing, social media and communication content relevant to the students globally in the network and help them get active on the platform. In short, to be our Ambassador.

Job description

  1. Inform your fellow students about Highered and get them on board. 
  2. Be the first one to share relevant positions to your network. 
  3. Work closely with the Career Service at your school, assisting them communicating the needs of international and local students.

Qualifications

  • Eager to support other students get international perspectives and job opportunities
  • This is a job requiring a friendly and welcoming approach
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Self-driven and goal oriented

AIAS registration action for stem cell donation

Every human being has a genetic twin somewhere in the world. If your twin has leukemia, he needs your stem cells to increase his chances to survive! 

We at AIAS have declared war on blood cancer and are trying to register as many students as possible for the DKMS database. Become a potential lifesaver next week:

  • Tuesday, 24.04. from 09:00 to 16:30 in the main building of the university at Albertus-Magnus-Platz
  • Wednesday, 25.04. from 09:00 to 16:30 at the LFI of the University Hospital Cologne, Kerpener Str. 62
