today, March 22nd, is World Water Day. In the current Unimagazin you can find stories on topics and research all around water. We would also like to draw your attention to the C-SEB Student Grants for master students. C-SEB Student Grant
As one of the UoC Centers of Excellence, the Center for Social and Economic Behavior (C-SEB) provides funding for outstanding individuals and excellent collaborative research projects. In order to provide masters students with an opportunity to gain experience in experimental research, C-SEB offers Student Grants of up to 1.500 € for conducting economic or psychological experiments that are connected to the master thesis. The application deadline for the next round is April 30th 2018.

In diesem Seminar lernen Sie einfache aber wirkungsvolle Methoden für Ihre optimale Präsentation im Vorstellungsgespräch kennen. Wir besprechen mit Ihnen den typischen Ablauf eines Vorstellungsgesprächs und simulieren mit Ihnen Gesprächssequenzen. Zudem besprechen wir mit Ihnen unterschiedliche Fragestellungen und geben Ihnen Tipps zum Thema Gesprächsführung, Argumentation und Körpersprache und Ablauf des Vorstellungsgesprächs.

Attend a summer school around the globe
Attending a summer school can be a great alternative to spending an entire semester abroad if you are short on time but still want to gain international experience. Summer schools typically combine academic courses with leisure activities over a period of two to six weeks. Thus, students have the opportunity to attend interesting courses while at the same time experiencing a different culture.
Students wishing to go abroad for a short-term can choose to participate in one of the summer schools offered by our partner universities. On our website we provide an excel sheet with various summer school offers in 2018. Please also see the ‘Step by step - How to attend a summer school’ information sheet in the download section. General information on offers is published on the WiSo Exchange (WEX) International Outgoings Portal. For more information please contact the ZIB WiSo by wiso-outgoingsuni-koeln.de (please mention your study level).
PROMOS Scholarships
The Central International Office (D9) of the University of Cologne awards scholarships under the DAAD PROMOS scheme. PROMOS promotes mobility programs for students completing academic stays abroad, such as a semester abroad in a non-European country (exceptions may apply), specialized courses / summer schools worldwide, internships in non-European countries, final thesis worldwide, academic competitions worldwide.
Applications for projects in the second half of 2018 are accepted until 30 April 2018. For further information on application requirements, documents and deadlines please click here.
Seminar „Ökonomik und Moral – Perspektiven einer Wirtschaftsethik des 21. Jahrhunderts“
Auch im Sommersemester 2018 bietet das Institut für Wirtschaftspolitik an der Universität zu Köln Studierenden die Gelegenheit, an dem Universitätsseminar „Dialog Wissenschaft und Praxis“ teilzunehmen. Die diesjährige Veranstaltung findet vom 04. - 06. Juli 2018 im Haus Marienhof in Königswinter (ca. 50 km südlich von Köln) statt und widmet sich dem Thema "Ökonomik und Moral".
Adressaten sind jedes Jahr Studierende aller Studiengänge, die ein Interesse an ökonomischen Themen und anwendungsorientierter Wirtschaftspolitik haben. Die Studierenden haben die Möglichkeit, die Referenten in ungezwungener Atmosphäre kennenzulernen und abseits des Universitätsalltags über wirtschaftspolitische Entwicklungen zu diskutieren. Die Teilnehmerzahl an dem Seminar ist auf 20 Studierende begrenzt.
