Dear students,

on April 18th and 19th 2018 from 10am to 3pm our first WiSo Job Fair (“Fakultätskarrieretag”) of the University of Cologne takes place. It will be organized by the WiSo-Career-Service in cooperation with the MYJOBFAIR GmbH.

On this day you have the chance to meet about 40 employers in the main building of the university and to talk about working student opportunities, internships, trainee programmes or permanent positions with the company representatives. Some of the participating companies are Deloitte, Deutsche Post DHL Group, Mars, OBI, REWE, amazon, Bertelsmann, Henkel, KPMG and pwc.

The Job Fair will be supported by a framework programme with presentations, application coaching and other services on the topic "early contact to future employers".

Obviously, visiting the WiSo Job Fair („Fakultätskarrieretag“) and using all related services is for free.

A summer school can be a great alternative to spending an entire semester abroad if you are short on time but still want to gain international experience. Summer schools typically combine academic courses with leisure activities over a period of two to six weeks. Thus, students have the opportunity to attend interesting courses while at the same time experiencing a different culture. 

Students wishing to go abroad for a short-term can choose to participate in one of the summer schools offered by our partner universities. On our website we provide an excel sheet with various summer school offers in 2018. Please also see the ‘Step by step - How to attend a summer school’ information sheet in the download section. General information on offers is published on the WiSo Exchange (WEX) International Outgoings Portal. On February 8 and 12, 2018 the facilities of the WiSo Student Services are closed. From Tuesday, February 13 on, we will be back and available for you during our regular opening hours.
