Prof. Dr. Horst Tempelmeier one of the most productive researchers in Operations Management

The only German in the top 100

The current study "Twenty-six years of operations management research (1985–2010): authorship patterns and research constituents in eleven top rated journals" of four academics from the USA, Guangzhi Shang, Brooke Saladin, Tim Fry und Joan Donohue, investigates the research contributions of academic institutions and individual authors in the area of operations management over a period of 26 years.
As a measure for research productivity the authors utilise all published research articles, also shared articles of several researchers, in the field of operations management in 11 top-rated and well-known academic journals over the time period from 1985 to 2010.
The result of this study is a ranking of the top 100 most productive researchers worldwide, measured against the quantity of articles per author.
In this ranking of the top 100 Prof. Dr. Horst Tempelmeier is the only German.
