Conference on “Digital Transformation – On the Future of Our Society”

February 19, 2016, in Cologne

Digital technologies drastically exert their influence upon core domains of our society, leading to radical changes. Uncertainties in the context of digitalization pose a number of socio-ethical problems in theory and practice, and require multi-dimensional solutions. Current research on digitalization focuses on establishing reliable and valid operationalized criteria within the framework of digitalization systems.

The conference will focus on the challenge how we want (and should) handle all the new opportunities and risks that digitalization has to offer not only today, but also regarding the future of our society.

Keynotes will be hold by Timotheus Höttges (CEO of the Deutsche Telekom AG) and Prof. Dr. Gesche Joost (Berlin University of the Arts, and Digital Champion for Germany at the European Union) on the „Digital Human Being“ and the „Future Digital Society”.

Please register until February 10, the number of participants is limited. More details on the event and registration can be found here.
