Professor Dr. Ulrich W. Thonemann welcomed Professor Dr. Wolf Ketter as new professor in Cologne. On February, Professor Ketter moved to an information systems chair at the University of Cologne. At the same time of his appointment as professor at the University of Cologne he became director of the EWI (http://www.ewi.uni-koeln.de/). He continued his research stay at the University of California in Berkeley until summer 2017.

Professor Ketter’s research areas
Professor Ketter founded the Erasmus Center for Future Energy Business in Rotterdam. In the field of energy, important research areas of Professor Ketter include algorithms for charging electric vehicles, Smart Electricity Markets, smart control systems for distribution networks or optimisation of distributed, linked electricity/heating systems.
