Since 02.01.2018, Prof. Jan Recker, Ph.D. is head of the Chair for Information Systems and Systems Development. We are very pleased to welcome him at our school!

Professor Recker previously worked at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, where he held the Woolworths Chair of Retail Innovation and was most recently Head of the Digital Innovation Research Group. He is deemed to be one of the leading scientists in the field of business informatics. In his research, he focuses on the fields of conceptualization of information systems, digital innovation and entrepreneurship, and the use of information systems for sustainability.

Jan Recker is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal Communications of the Association for Information Systems and is on the Editorial Board of journals such as the MIS Quarterly, European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS) and others.

WiSo was founded in 1901 as a School of Commerce. Since then, it has extended its scope to Economics, Sociology, and Politics.
