Dean Werner Mellis and Klemens Fischer

Senior Research Fellow Dr. Klemens H. Fischer has been appointed Honorary Professor. Klemens H. Fischer is Austrian EU-Diplomat and enrichens with his practice background the lectures in International Relations at the Chair for International and Foreign Policy of Prof. Dr. Thomas Jäger. In November 2015, Fischer has already been honored by the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences with the Junior Teaching Award 2015 for his seminar "Foreign Politics - Comparative Foreign and Security Policy: EU - USA - Russia - China". Fischer says about his teaching approach: “As Minister at the Austrian EU-Embassy in Brussels, I am dealing with foreign affairs and international relations on a daily basis. Here at Cologne University, I can share my experience and knowledge with my students and so building together with them the bridge between theory and practice.“

Our Heritage:

WiSo was founded in 1901 as a School of Commerce. Since then, it has extended its scope to Economics, Sociology, and Politics. Now, we have over a century of experience in the education of new generations of business professionals, economists, sociologists, and political experts. During this time, we have developed a tradition of close dialogue with our stakeholders and have focused on scientific research that is relevant to the corporate world, to economic policy, and to society at large.
