Junior Teaching Award

Joung researchers are honored for their exceptional teaching performance!

Privatdozent Dr. Klemens Fischer, as well as Dr. Dirk Basten and Nikolaus Schmidt receive the WiSo-Faculty’s Junior Teaching award for the best courses hold in either Bachelor or Master programs!

For the first time the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences has conferred the junior’s Teaching Award for excellent performance in teaching by young academics. The Faculty hereby honors exceptional effort put into teaching tasks by its members throughout all levels.

Good teaching is an important and essential part of an academic career, thus we are very glad to announce that:

PD Dr. Klemens Fischer for his Seminar „Seminar Außenpolitik - Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik im Vergleich: EU – USA – Russland – China”

And

Dr. Dirk Basten and Herr Nikolaus Schmidt for their joint course „Selected Issues in Information I/II – IT Strategy & Governance“

Have been elected to receive this award, based on the evaluation results by the Faculty’s Study Advisory.

Privatdozent Dr. Fischer teaches as Senior Reasearch Fellow at the chair for International Politics and Foreign Policy, besides that he is an Envoy and Head of Department at the Austrian Permanent Representation at the European Union in Brussels.

Dr. Dirk Basten is a researcher at the Seminar for Information Systems and System Development at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Cologne. Nikolaus Schmidt is a research fellow at the professorship for Information Systems and Integrated information Systems. His research Focus lays on IT outsourcing and Industry 4.0

The awards have been handed over on stage at the Faculty’s graduation ceremonies.
