„I wanted to make a change“

Alumna Katharina Dröge in an interview

As part of our interview series with alumni, we talked to Katharina Dröge. Our alumna Katharina Dröge studied Economics before her career path lead her to politics. Since September 2013 she is member of the German Bundestag for her political party Bündnis 90/Die Grünen. Katharina Dröge is chairlady of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy and speaker for competition policy of the faction of a parliamentary party in the German Bundestag (in German: Bundestagsfraktion), Bündnis 90/Die Grünen.

We asked her among other things, how she came to work as a politician, how she manages to  reconcile family and work and if her study in Economics at the WiSo Faculty in Cologne helped her in her professional life as a politician.
