Handelsblatt Economics Ranking 2017

Five of School’s researchers in the top 50

In the current Handelsblatt Economics 2017 ranking, which lists the most research intensive economists of the last five years in German-speaking countries, five researchers from the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences are within the top 50 list.

• Rank 5: Matthias Sutter
• Rank 22: Carlos Alos-Ferrer
• Rank 25: Patrick Schmitz
• Rank 32: Felix Bierbrauer
• Rank 47: Axel Ockenfels

Matthias Sutter achieved the highest ranking in the German-speaking area (DACH) with the fifth place (second in Germany).

In a separate ranking, the overall lifetime performance is ranked. Our researchers achieved following positions:

• Rank 30: Matthias Sutter
• Rank 33: Patrick Schmitz
• Rank 102: Carlos Alos-Ferrer
• Rank 107: Axel Ockenfels
• Rank 117: Jörg Breitung
• Rank 185: Andreas Schabert
• Rank 223: Felix Bierbrauer

The overall research performance of the researchers under 40 years is also listed. Oliver Gürtler was able to claim #15 place and Dominik Wied # 54.
