Graduation Ceremony summer term 2016

Congratulations to all our graduates

Alumni of the WiSo Faculty

At the 9 July 2016 all graduates received their certificates in a festive ceremony. The graduation ceremony started with a greeting from Professor Dr. Werner Mellis, Dean of the WiSo-Faculty, followed by a welcome speech from Sally Hütter, president of the faculty student association.

Afterwards, Professor Dr. Axel Ockenfels was awarded with the Albertus-Magnus-Price, voted by the faculty’s students. This award honours, and aims to encourage, exceptional performance in teaching. Therefore, the faculty’s graduates of each term elect the winner themselves.

The Junior Teaching Award was conferred to Dr. Irene Somm for the bachelor course “Gruppendiskussionsverfahren in der Ungleichheitsforschung” and to Michael Cristescu for the master course “Conducting Experiments with zTree”,

Dr. Matthias Sutter, Department of Ecnomics, Design and Behaviour, gave a speech for the Bachelor graduates and alumna Katharina Dröge, Bündnis 90/ Die Grünen, spoke to the master graduates. After a music act of the ‘triologische Quartett’, the graduate speech was held by Laura Krumm (bachelor ceremony) and Cynthia Pawelski (master and diploma ceremony).

Warmest congratulations to all our graduates! We wish you all the best for your future!
