Information Systems climbs on second position

Information Systems at the University of Cologne

Graduates of Information Systems at the University of Cologne are ranked among the most highly skilled experts by German personnel managers. This confirms the newly published ranking Germany's best universities of the German weekly magazine “Wirtschaftswoche” - from the perspective of personnel managers. Information Systems at the University of Cologne is ranked second-most popular university for recruiting new young talents, following the Technical University of Munich. The Department of Information Systems thus reinforces its positioning in the national and international competitive environment of higher education. For the university ranking, the consulting company “Universum” asked 540 human resource managers which universities educate best for their needs.

This confirms the attractiveness of the Bachelor and Master degree in computer science industry for both the students and the personnel managers of well-known companies.” says Prof. Dr. Detlef Schoder, area spokesman for Information Systems.

WiSo was founded in 1901 as a School of Commerce. Since then, it has extended its scope to Economics, Sociology, and Politics.
