FiFo-Memorandum about tax subsidies

Michael Thöne im Interview

In 2017, a new federal Government should be capable to reform taxation significantly. For that, it needs off-setting cuts in subsidies, says Dr. Michael Thöne, Managing Director of the Institute of Public Economics (FiFo) at the University of Cologne. A new FiFo-Memorandum finds 11 billion Euros alone in tax expenditures and suggests with respect to the federal subsidy report three steps for the nature of German subsidy: cutting, reviewing and observing from there.
