Albertus-Magnus-Award for Axel Ockenfels

Prize of the student body

Verleihung des Albertus-Magnus-Preises durch Sally Hütter an Axel Ockenfels

The prize-giving of the Albertus-Magnus-Award by the student body shall give recognition and encouragement for special accomplishments in teaching and caring for the students of the WiSo Faculty. The alumni of every semester take an active part in the decision process.

This time this special prize was given to Professor Dr. Axel Ockenfels. The award was given to him at the Award Ceremony on Saturday the 9th of July 2016 in the form of a little statue of Albertus-Magnus and handed over to Professor Ockenfels by Sally Hütter. She is the 1st chairlady of the WiSo student association.

Professor Axel Ockenfels gave thanks to the students and is delighted about the award: "I was very delighted to get the prize. My subject is the key. The game theory and behavioral economics are fun. It’s possible to have an active dialogue, they are useful for the big and small problems of mankind, and who doesn’t like to play games? It would be great if the price would lead to even more students in our range of lectures to be inspired by the newest results of research!”

We congratulate Professor Axel Ockenfels for winning the Albertus-Magnus-Award!
