Career Tuesday with EU Careers on April 17, 2018

Dear students,

did you know that the University of Cologne is one the few universities in Germany that has its own EU Career Ambassador?

Students of the University who are looking for information about professional perspectives in the EU and other institutions are invited to our presentation by Svenja Rennebaum our EU Career Ambassador.

Please note that this event is held in German language.

Different nations, languages and cultures meet in the EU, making it a very popular employer in Europe. This event will cover the following topics:

  • What offers a career in the EU?
  • What kind of candidates is the EU looking for?
  • What is the EPSO?
  • Application process?
  • Which other employment opportunities does the EU offer?

STAP Master Term Abroad for Spring 2019: Secondary Selection Round

The ZIB - International Relations Center offers a secondary selection round for exchange studies in spring 2019 with available slots for env. 50 Master students. Information on the STAP secondary selection round, available universities and their special features will be presented by the STAP Master outgoing coordinator:

JobTour 2018 – Consulting

Would you like to do an internship or are you about to graduate and planning to start your career in consulting? On July 5, 2018, the ProfessionalCenter is organizing the fourth JobTour, during which 20 students from all faculties take the Unibus to four possible employers in the field of management consulting.

Do you already know the new Future Champions Accelerator?

Since March 2018, there is something new at the University of Cologne. An accelerator who takes care of founders and start-ups enabling them to make their way to success. The Future Champions Accelerator was started by the University of Duisburg-Essen, the University of Cologne and the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. In cooperation with regional industrial partners and investors and start-up experts, the Accelerator offers technology-based and knowledge-based start-ups from the Rhine-Ruhr region a sustainable and cross-regional program consisting of excellent coaching and mentoring as well as needs-based qualification measures. The accelerator is supported by the ministery of economy, innovation, digitalisation and energy of the state of North-Rhine-Westphalia, the European Union and the EFRE-Program.

Das ist gut so, denn für uns ist klar: Bei internationalem Handel geht es nicht nur um Effizienz und Verteilungsfragen. Er hat soziale Auswirkungen, ökologische und kulturelle.
