wir möchten Sie herzlich einladen, die Unternehmenspräsentation von der Deutschen Bundesbank am 14. November 2017 um 17.45 Uhr im Rahmen des Career Tuesday zu besuchen!

Die  Bundesbank  arbeitet  an  der  Schnittstelle  von  Politik,  Wirtschaft  und  Wissenschaft. Dabei beschäftigen wir uns mit Themen, die Sie nur in einer Zentralbank finden. Das gibt dem Arbeiten für die Bundesbank seinen besonderen Reiz, denn Vieles von dem, was wir tun, ist einzigartig. Die Mitgliedschaft der Bundesbank im Eurosystem und die zunehmende Vernetzung der internationalen finanzmärkte beeinflussen unsere Aufgaben. Erhalten Sie beim Career Tuesday außerdem interessante Einblicke in die zentralen Aufgaben der Bundesbank und insbesondere der Bankenaufsicht und in die Prüfungstätigkeit sowie die attraktiven Einstiegsprogramme der Bundesbank.

English Interview Seminar - Taking control over your interview

Participants get a good overview of the different types of interview situations they could be faced with. Using competency-based interviewing techniques and the STAR (Situation, Task, Activity and Result) method students are introduced to a toolbox enabling them to prepare their own strengths. The course is interactive and participative with group work and simulations in order to experience both roles – as an interviewee and interviewer.

On 4th December an expert from the German American Chamber of Commerce (Amerikanische Handelskammer) in New York is visiting the WiSo Faculty to give a talk about the German-American J1 exchange visitor programme. Topics discussed are:
• What is the J1 programme (http://www.go-j1.com)?
• How can I find a host company for my internship/trainee stay?
• What do I need to know when writing my application (CV, cover letter, Skype interview, etc.)?
• How does the visa process work?
Of course you are also welcome to ask individual questions.

Hanken School of Economics, Finland – New exchange option within the STAP Programme

The ZIB WiSo is happy to announce that from the academic year 2018/19 on, the Hanken School of Economics will offer exchange options within the STAP Master Programme for Business&Economics students.

For over 100 years, Hanken School of Economics in Finland has shaped the future of many successful leaders. Hanken is one of the oldest business schools in the Nordic countries and holds the Triple accreditation (EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA). The Financial Times has ranked Hanken’s Masters in Management programme no. 67 and 69 in 2015 and 2016 respectively. ‘Contemporary World Politics’ Winter School at HSE, Moscow

Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow organizes winter schools for international students about to graduate and recent graduates as a short-term introduction to the university. The offered courses will cover the topic of contemporary world politics, Russian language and culture. Students can participate in three courses, each worth 1 ECTS. The winter school is going to take place between 29 January and 9 February 2018. Application deadline is 1 December 2017.

The practical teacher training in the different school types

Representatives from ZfsLs (Zentren für schulpraktische LehrerInnenausbildung) of different school types will provide information about the practical phase of the teacher training. What is the structure of the practical teacher training in general? What do the trainees have to anticipate at school and at the ZfsLs? What exactly is the practical teacher training in one particular school form like?
The event is divided according to the five different school types:
Grammar School/ Comprehensive School (Gymnasium/ Gesamtschule): 18:00 Uhr in  Hörsaal A1
Special needs education (Sonderpädagogische Förderung): 18:00 Uhr in Hörsaal C
Primary School (Grundschule): 18:15 Uhr in Hörsaal A2
Vocational School (Berufskolleg): 18:15 Uhr in Hörsaal G
Middle School (Haupt-, Real-, Sekundar-, Gesamtschule): 18:30 Uhr in Hörsaal E
