STAP Master Main Selection Round for 2018/19 - Statistics

The ZIB WiSo’s main selection round for STAP Master is finished. Among the 244 valid applications for a term abroad at one of our partner universities, 183 students received a direct offer, 59 an alternative offer and 7 received no offer.  With 34 students who did not accept the offer provided by the ZIB, there will be 203 STAP Master students spending a term abroad in 2018/19.

A secondary selection round for STAP Master Spring 2019 will start mid of April.

Interested students from all fields welcome. No registration required. The event will be held in English:  Guest Lecture with Peter Chase, GMFUS: "Transatlantic Partnership: Trade Wars or Trade Partnership?“

Peter Chase, German Marshall Fund of the United States, Brussels. Peter Chase joined GMF’s Brussels office in September 2010 as a non-resident fellow and became a resident senior fellow in May 2016. Chase served as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce vice president for Europe from 2010-16; prior to this he was a U.S. diplomat with postings as minister-counselor for economic affairs in the U.S. Mission to the European Union, director of the State Department's office of EU affairs, chief of staff to the under secretary of economic affairs, and counselor and minister-counselor for economic affairs in the U.S. Embassy in London.

TTIP, Trump and greenhouse gases: The future of world trade.

This week starts the lecture in summer semester 2018:

Ob TTIP, CETA oder die protektionistischen Ambitionen von Donald Trump: Der Streit über die Ordnung des globalen Handels ist in vollem Gange - nicht nur unter Ökonominnen und Ökonomen. Das ist gut so, denn für uns ist klar: Bei internationalem Handel geht es nicht nur um Effizienz und Verteilungsfragen. Er hat soziale Auswirkungen, ökologische und kulturelle.
