Up until 15 June 2017 you can apply for our regular master’s programmes of the University of Cologne’s WiSo Faculty as well as for the Research Track in the M.Sc. Economics. Nach einer kurzen Vorstellungsrunde erfolgt eine detailliierte Einführung in die Methodik und Fallstudie. Während der Bearbeitung in Gruppen steht Ihnen das BearingPoint Team unterstützend zur Seite. Would you like to make new friends this summer? All students at the WiSo Faculty have the opportunity to participate in a Buddy Programme in August 2017 for international students taking part in our summer school CISU. We are currently looking for WiSo students who welcome them and offer initial guidance at the University of Cologne. If you are interested, you can be a buddy for one or even up to three international students in August. Your tasks would be the following:

• Establishing contact with your protégée and welcoming them in the name of the WiSo Faculty (via email)
• Awaiting the student(s) on the day of their arrival at the airport/train station, if need be accompanying them to their accommodation
• Support in further curricular or extracurricular activities

A bilateral encounter of this nature will give you the chance to improve your language skills, exchange ideas interculturally and broaden your horizon. You will also receive a certificate for your social commitment.

You are interested in an intercultural study experience and would like to earn up to 12 CP during the summer break? Become a part of CISU 2017! CISU takes place from 7-31 August (Session 1: 7-17 August, Session 2: 21-31 August). Participation is free for all students enrolled at the WiSo Faculty.

All courses are part of the regular curriculum and comprise offers for students of management and economics (BSc and MSc) such as Digital Transformation, Business Ethics, Immigration Economics and Entrepreneurship. For more information, including a full course offer list, visit our website.

The course Behavioral and Experimental Economics given by Prof Dr Loukas Balafoutas is now also available for PO08 Master students and can be credited towards the module Experimental Economics.

Der Arbeitsalltag eines Beraters bringt verschiedenste Herausforderungen mit sich: Um sich in die verschiedensten Problemstellungen reinzudenken und den Wünschen des Kunden möglichst gerecht zu werden, braucht man innovative Ideen, eine analytische Denkweise und hohe Flexibilität. Das alles bringt Ihr mit? Findet es heraus! Zusammen mit der OSCAR GmbH wollen wir Euch mithilfe einer Case Study einen Einblick in den Alltag eines Beraters ermöglichen und versuchen, uns einem alltäglichen Beraterproblem zu stellen! Außerdem bereiten wir Euch für das Vorstellungsgespräch in der Beratungsbranche vor und trainieren verschiedene Assessment Center Übungen. Im Anschluss an die Case Study könnt Ihr die Berater von OSCAR bei einem lockeren Get-together näher kennenlernen und Euch über Eure Einstiegsmöglichkeiten in der Consultingbranche informieren.

Newcastle University has 3 work placement opportunities available in its international divisions (2 x International Office; 1 x International Student Mobility & Integration).
These long-time internships would be of particular use to those students who intend to seek a career in the following areas:  Higher Education Administration/Student Support; Marketing & Recruitment; Event Organisation & Management; International Marketing & Business.

Free en-suite accommodation will be provided in one of the University’s Halls’ of Residence. Financial support may be granted through the ERASMUS+ program.
