FILTERtest results

The FILTERtest results for WiSo@NYC, Austin summer school and Utrecht short programme can be picked up at the ZIB WiSo office, 5th floor on Monday 23 January and Tuesday 24 January, 9 am – 12 pm.

Internship offered by our partner university

Newcastle University has 2 work placement opportunities available in its Corporate Affairs Directorate (1 x in International Relations and 1 x in Engagement). The placements are designed for a student who requires a placement in the United Kingdom as part of their degree programme and who would be supported by the Erasmus Programme. The application deadline is Friday 13 January 2017.

Each year, the WiSo Faculty offers its students the exclusive opportunity to participate in an exciting and challenging 6-week intensive programme in the heart of New York City. The WiSo@NYC programmes are planned and organised by the ZIB WiSo and enable you to earn up to 24 ECTS toward your degree.

Programmes are scheduled Monday 7 August – Friday, 15 September 2017 (6 weeks).

Application deadline is Friday 27 January 2017, 12 noon.

Two-day preparation workshop for Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) Examination

This two-day workshop offers you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the format and assessment criteria of the Cambridge English: Advanced examination (C1 level), which is a necessary requirement for your master’s programme application. Info session on internships and trainee programmes in the USA

Cindy Klarwasser, Manager Career Services from the German American Chamber of Commerce (AHK) in New York will be visiting the WiSo Faculty to give a talk about the J1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program.

Doing Business in Germany – new programme for selected WiSo partners

The WiSo Faculty is delighted to announce the successful launch of its first Doing Business in Germany programme. The newly developed DBi Germany concept is designed to give international (E)MBA students of selected partner institutions detailed insights into the characteristics of German management and leadership strategies.

In May 2016, the 12-day programme focused on the current challenges within the German automotive industry and included visits to Ford, BMW, Deloitte, the VDA, as well as various expert talks and guest lectures.

Double Master’s Programme in Demography and Social Inequality

The WiSo Faculty has launched a new Double Master’s Programme with a focus on Demography and Social Inequality.
The attractive international master’s programme was developed jointly with the University of Groningen and gives students the opportunity to benefit from the outstanding expertise of two top-ranking universities.
Students can apply until 15 May 2016 for a study start in the upcoming fall term 2016/17.
