New research initiative explores digital economics

Ten scientists of our WiSo Faculty are exploring the digital transformation and its impact on business life and society. Marketing expert Prof. Dr. Werner Reinartz leads the interdisciplinary initiative „Digital Transformation and Value Creation“. It comprises data experts and psychologists, economists and marketing experts.
A cooperation with companies and institutions of public life is planned, too. The initiative is hosted interdisciplinary at the WiSo Faculty, but other disciplines shall be integrated if required.
The goal of the research initiative is to broaden the knowledge about how consumer think, feel and act in digital environments – and what effects that has for the value and success of companies.

Students shall be trained as digital experts that are needed at the labor market.
