A warm welcome

We are glad to welcome our new professors at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences:

Professor Hernan Bruno:

Hernan A. Bruno is a Professor of Marketing and Digital Environment at the University of Cologne. Before that, he was a faculty member at INSEAD (Fontainebleau) and at Erasmus University (Rotterdam). He holds a PhD in Marketing from the London Business School, in the UK. He specializes on econometric models to understand the behavior of customers both in consumer settings as well as industrial settings. His general approach to research is to develop econometric models tailored to use existing company data to reveal specific patterns of customer behavior, and to infer customer metrics that can help managerial decisions making. His research has been published in Marketing Science and the Journal of Marketing Research. He has taught Strategic Marketing in Executive Programs, Company Programmes, MBA and Bachelor levels. He has written several business cases and other pedagogical material (one of them recipient of the Best Case Award from ECCH).

 

Professor Florian Engl:

Florian Engl use theoretical and experimental methods to answer questions in the field of behavioral economics and, in particular, behavioral ethics. Topics include the strategic use of willful ignorance to deflect blame, the determinants of responsibility attributions and the effect of institutions on cooperative behavior.

 

Professor Yingshuai Zhao:

Yingshuai Zhao is a new team member of the Department of Supply Chain Management and Management Science.Her research focuses on Behavioral Management Science, especially in the field of Supply Chain Management (e.g. inventory management, contract design and revenue management). The topic mainly explores the interactions between human behavioral factors and implementations of well-accepted managerial models.
