The WiSo Course Guidance Centre is closely networked with the other advice and counselling centres at the Faculty and the University. For instance, we conduct student surveys in collaboration with the WiSo Evaluation Centre, or organize event series on successful studies and course organization – our partners here being the WiSo Career Service and the Centre for Higher Education Quality, the Central Course Guidance Office, the Cologne University Professional Centre, and the Psychosocial Care Centre run by the Kölner Studentenwerk. In addition, the WiSo Course Guidance Centre, in cooperation with the University’s International Office, conducts integration events on behalf of foreign students and offers separate study path recommendations to help them get started.
Together with the Dean of Studies, the Centre devises and implements concepts for refining the WiSo Faculty’s course and service offers. Last but not least, the WiSo Course Guidance Centre introduces the study programmes of the WiSo Faculty at school and education fairs and at the University’s internal information events.
