Economic Education

Course Structure

The Master’s programme comprises 120 ECTS credit points and is laid out for a standard full-time study period of four semesters.

Unique Subject Diversity

The major in Economic Education requires the attainment of 72 credit points (12 modules with 6 CPs each). You may choose from a total of 18 modules that cover the entire thematic spectrum of the study path. The following four modules are compulsory:

  • Basics of Didactic Work
  • Systems of Vocational Training
  • Educational Counselling and Evaluation Concepts
  • Colloquium

Basics of Didactic Work Systems of Vocational Training Educational Counselling and Evaluation Concepts Colloquium The choice of eight further modules in the major part of the programme, as a rule, serves to create one of three Study Profiles for professional fields of activity:

  • Study Profile 1: Teaching and Training in Schools and Enterprises
  • Study Profile 2: Education Management
  • Study Profile 3: Organization of Occupational Integration and Rehabilitation

Nearly all minor subjects are free electives designed to enhance the profile of your Master’s studies –by deepening and specializing or diversifying your knowledge base. Currently, over 30 minors from all disciplines of the WiSo Faculty are on offer (some only in German; see there).

Eligibility Requirements

You require a Bachelor’s degree in an economic or social science, or a comparable degree, and must have achieved at least 180 ECTS credit points.

The application deadline is June 15th

for applicants with a foreign (Bachelor’s) degree
for applicants with a German (Bachelor’s) degree
